Ack! Well, I missed Day 11 of National Blog Posting Month, because we had our second power outage of the season. The kids have become so used to it, they don't even bat an eye. Within seconds of their electronic babysitters shutting down, they were thundering down the stairs with board games and setting up shop by the fire. They weren't allowed outside because the wind was terrible. You can see by this photo as they (and Hunter) are being entertained the old fashioned way, playing 'Sorry'. Then, they tried playing Legos by the fire for awhile, but things regressed as Jack decided to torture Grace's baby doll and Grace started crying, and Olivia hissed, "Give it back or I'll stick a fork in your eye." Hey Kids! Guess what, we have a couple of laptops around here, let's watch some dvds! The power came back on sometime in the middle of the night, flooding our house with light as Mitch and I rushed around turning everything off before anyone woke up. The wind is picking up again, so I've run the dishwasher and got the laundry going, and more importantly I've ground extra coffee in case we lose power again. Buying that gas grill over the summer with the side burner was an excellent idea. We were able to even make popcorn on it last night. Woohoo.
