M and I are thinking about taking a trip for his 40th birthday in October. I kind of mentioned it in passing at the dinner table tonight. M wasn't home. I told the kids they would get to have Nana stay with them for a week while Daddy and I went on a little trip. O hung her head and started crying, then looked pointedly at me and said,

"But I would really miss Daddy."

Yeah, all those clean clothes and well-balanced meals she will miss out on while Daddy isn't here.
